Our tour has happened, we're back home and now you can find the lyrics to our songs on the music page. We'll be in Sheridan, Wyoming with Left Alone and the Borderline Bandits on August 4th. I think that's about it.
Short and sweet this time around. Our tour dates are posted, we will be releasing our 4-song EP on the night of our May 28th tour kick off show, and Scotty is still in Europe. To all you outside of Denver PxPx fans...we'll be coming for you soon.
Lots of news in the last two months. First, and most unfortunately, Nick has taken a permanent leave from the band due to personal reasons. The stage won't be the same without him and he will be sorely missed. As of about a month ago, we started to re-record the next album with Noise Gate studios and have just about completed a 4-song EP that we will release in the coming weeks featuring the brand new, mostly or completely unheard tracks "Rudecore," "Port to Port," "Mo' Fuck(We Don't Have a Name Yet)" and a special song that those of you who have known us for a while will recognize. For those of you looking forward to getting a CD with the songs we have listed on our music page...it might be a while. In other news, Scotty has be filling in on drums for Reno Divorce while they search for a new permanent drummer. He killed it at his first show with the band a week ago and he will be joining them on their European tour in May. We wish him the best of luck and times during his overseas endeavours. He will be back just in time for our Summer Tour, which we are just about done booking. We haven't solidified everything yet, so expect to see the dates on here once we do. If you'd like to check out a tentative tour schedule, you can find it here. Thanks for tuning in to this episode of shit you may not but probably already know.
Hey, guess what? The website's done. All done. We also have a newsletter for all you that want email updates about shows, other pertinent information about the band, and to win free tickets to shows. Just go to the contact page, fill out the form and check the "yes!" button to subscribe to our newsletter.
It is now 2010. You heard it first from us, your number one source for breaking information. Stay tuned for the end of the world, complete with a Summer Tour, a new album and Scotty performing more naked than you ever thought possible. The end is nigh.
We're heading to the studio on October 10th and 11th to render enduring what's previously been fleeting. We'll be converting the ugly, complicated air pressure oscillations of "A Lesser Man" and "Go Green," into clean, sexy zeros and ones. Be looking for their carbon copies on mp3, CD, vinyl and wax cylinder in your local music emporium in the coming weeks.
The store is now open for business! Until we get inventory taken care of, the only product in stock is our CD, but you can check out some shirt designs and whatnot and start building your wishlist. We'll be adding more designs in the coming days.
Well, the new site is up and running at one-eighth capacity. Along with this new site we would like to announce the Potato Pirates are reforming into a new band as well. We will no longer play any of our old material, and everything from this point onwards will be entirely avant-garde art rock with icelandic vocalizations. We came to this difficult decision when we realized that our past repertoire wasn't making us any money. We decided if we're not going to get rich off this endeavour, we might as well play a style of music that is unlistenable. Stay tuned for updates...
